Jazz defense gets blasted by Raptors and Rockets, why?

The Toronto Raptors and the Houston Rockets blasted the Jazz defense over the weekend.  Has something gone wrong with one of the league’s best defenses or did the Jazz run into the wrong side of the law of averages?   Locke looks at shot charts and stats vu numbers to decipher what happened to the Jazz defense.

The Jazz seem to be starting slow in games.  Is there anything going on with combinations or any reason to why the Jazz are starting so slow?  Locke looks at the combinations and notices for the first time in years Derrick Favors and Rudy Gobert are not positive on the floor together.

Everyone in the league is good.   What is the impact of this on the standings and how they project after 10 games.

David Locke enters his ninth year as the radio play-by-play voice of the Utah Jazz, having spent the majority of his career in radio in Salt Lake City and Seattle.
