SUMMARY: Blowout win for the Utah Jazz over the Miami Heat
- The Jazz went on a 13-0 run to start. The game never got inside 10 points. The Jazz lead it 22 to 4 and 40 to 15 after 1. It never got inside 20. The Jazz went up 30 early in the third quarter and it never got much closer. This was never close
- The Jazz moved the ball terrifically and the defense was engaged and had a strong level of detail
- The Jazz scored 40 points in the first quarter with no player scoring more than 6 points.
- The blowouts may have been the most beneficial to Dante Exum who has been working really hard with coach Jeff Watkinson and got a chance to show some of the things he has been working on.

The Jazz fell short in the second half as the Toronto defense shut the new-look Jazz down in route to cruising to an 114 – 82 Raptors victory. Lauri Markkanen shined for the Jazz with 20 points and 5 rebounds but the Raptors length and athleticism proved to be too much for the Jazz riding a dominant 3rd quarter to pull away from the Jazz who played well in the first half, only trailing by one.
