Jam-packed show for the home opener.   The show is highlighted by David Locke sitting down with Ricky Rubio in a get to know interview.  They go back to Spain to learn about his childhood.  Then they discuss how he broke into professional basketball and the burden that was placed on him at a young age.   The conversation wraps up talking about the books Talent Code and Grit and how they apply to his life.

First, Locke reacts to the gruesome injury to former Jazzman Gordon Hayward and all the impact.  Locke also had some thoughts on the Warriors and the Rockets before turning his attention to the Jazz opening night opponent the Denver Nuggets.  A deep breakdown on Nikola Jokic as the Jazz great defense will have its hands full.

Dennis Lindsey met with the media yesterday and today’s show shares some of his comments on Donovan Mitchell and Ricky Rubio.

David Locke enters his ninth year as the radio play-by-play voice of the Utah Jazz, having spent the majority of his career in radio in Salt Lake City and Seattle. In the summer of 2016, Locke created the Locked on Podcast Network which has podcast daily bite sized podcasts for every NBA and NFL team. A native of Palo Alto, Calif., Locke graduated from Occidental College in Los Angeles with a degree in Political Science and Sociology. Locke and his wife have a son and a daughter.

LOCKED ON JAZZ – AD and Lakers too much for Jazz. Bubble shots are rimming out and 10 possessions that ended the night

The Utah Jazz battled the Los Angeles Lakers but the 51-15 Lakers were too much as was Anthony Davis 42 points. David Locke, the radio voice of the Utah Jazz and Jazz NBA Insider, looks at how the Jazz played much better in this game than the last outing. Locke talks about how wins as a underdog are going to be hard to come by in the Bubble setting. The Jazz are missing the shooting of Bojan Bogdanovic and those players that are replacing him are not making shots. A 10 possessions sequence of the 3rd quarter ended the night for the Jazz and Locke digs into those 10 possessions and what went wrong.
