These are the first quarter possessions for the Golden State Warriors on offense while Rudy Gobert was on the floor.  Gobert checks out with the Jazz leading the game 28-20 with 2:30 left in the 1st quarter.

The first quarter was the first time all year the Warriors didn’t make a three.  The Warriors missed shots, Klay Thompson missed in transition from 3 and Curry missed an open offensive rebound kick out.   However, the story of the first quarter was while Gobert was on the floor the Warriors only scored on 4 of 14 half court possessions. (counting the 2 sideline out of bounds)

The Warriors are the #1 offense off opponents made shots (1.1 pts per possession) and #2 offense off opponents misses (1.15 pts per possession).  They scored 8 points in 14 possessions in the first quarter with Gobert on the floor for .57 pts per possession.

The Jazz fell short in the second half as the Toronto defense shut the new-look Jazz down in route to cruising to an 114 – 82 Raptors victory. Lauri Markkanen shined for the Jazz with 20 points and 5 rebounds but the Raptors length and athleticism proved to be too much for the Jazz riding a dominant 3rd quarter to pull away from the Jazz who played well in the first half, only trailing by one.

Relive the game through the radio highlights. Voiced by Leif Thulin.
