We are underway for Game 2 in Houston
Early adjustments from Quin Snyder looking great. Got the Jazz two early dunks. Plus, Jazz getting some transition looks.

Jazz lead it 20-13 on 8 of 11 shooting with 6:23 left in the 1st quarter

Jazz lead it 27-21. Dante Exum and Royce O’Neale have the James Harden assignment. Both are picking him up full court to make him work. Harden is 1 for 3 to start but has 3 assists. Crowder came in game as the 4 and Exum at the 2. Neto will be back up PG

Rockets have only taken 4 of their first 18 shots as three-point shots. They take 50% of their shots as threes for the season

Jazz are brilliant on offense right now. Lead it 47-37 with 8:34 left. jazz and Rockets have both taken 10 three-pointers. Jazz shooting EFG% of 72% Rockets 52%. Jazz getting the makes right now

Quin Snyder’s adjustments are causing the Rockets real issues right now. Back to back dunks by Rudy Gobert. Jazz lead it 53-37. Only the 6th time all season the Rockets have trailed by 16 or more in the first half of a game this season.

Great first half of basketball from the Utah Jazz. They lead it 64-55 at the half. Jazz shooting 65% EFG and the Rockets 45% EFG. Don’t know how many halfs of Rockets going 4 of 16 from 3 we are going to see.

Rockets have taken just 15 of 47 shots from three. Jazz have taken 16 of 43 from three.

Wonder what it is like for the Jazz players to have their coach designed plays and make adjustments and then have them work perfectly.

Early adjustments from the Rockets. Moved Chris Paul into the corner where PJ Tucker was a got an early three. Getting Mitchell switched onto Harden and Mitchell has 3 fouls. They have moved Capela so harder for Gobert to get there. Jazz 69-64

Rockets come out blaring and with 6:03 left in the 3rd quarter – Rockets 71-71

Great game. AB going coast to coast. Harden with an unreal dunk on Favs. Jazz absorbing the Rockets run. X hits a three and draws Harden’s 4th foul. Jazz 80-79 with 2:52 left in the 3rd

Eric Gordon 3 – Rockets take the lead 94-92. Jazz have missed the calming influence of Ricky Rubio in this game when things have started to unravel. Harden has just 1 three. Mitchell is 3 for 13 and 2 of 7 from three. Kobe hasn’t helped yet

Donovan Mitchell puts back his own miss with an unreal dunk. Joe Ingles hits a three. Jazz lead it 103-96. Rockets are going isolation on every play matching Donovan Mitchell on James Harden. Ok Kid let’s see what else you got.

16 to 2 run by the Jazz. Joe Ingles has career high with 27 points on 10 of 13 shooting and 7 three-pointers. Jazz lead it 108 to 96 with 4:25 .

Jazz win and even the series in Houston. Jazz win it 116-108. It was Harden v. Mitchell one on one for the final 5 minutes and Mitchell held his own. Joe Ingles was unreal. 27 points 10 of 13 and 7 of 9 from three. Plus the calming force in the hurricane

Huge contributions off the bench for the Jazz
Alec Burks 17 points in 22 minutes
Dante Exum 9 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists in 18 minutes
Jae Crowder 15 points and 10 rebounds and 3 of 6 from three

JAZZ GAME REWIND: 2nd Half propels Toronto past the youthful Jazz

The Jazz fell short in the second half as the Toronto defense shut the new-look Jazz down in route to cruising to an 114 – 82 Raptors victory. Lauri Markkanen shined for the Jazz with 20 points and 5 rebounds but the Raptors length and athleticism proved to be too much for the Jazz riding a dominant 3rd quarter to pull away from the Jazz who played well in the first half, only trailing by one.

Relive the game through the radio highlights. Voiced by Leif Thulin.
